Gone are the days when everyone wants all-singing, all-dancing websites which contain more gimmicks and animations than content! It is well-known that users find all this graphical overload distracting, and the download times frustrating. Currently, the trend is for clean, unfussy, modern-looking websites which present the information clearly and logically. Of course, each website needs to use colour and images, but the best advice is to stick to a couple of key colours, and keep animation (and therefore download times) to a minimum. |
